All Science Challenge



Grade 6-8 students across the Anglophone South School District form teams of 2-4 to compete in a one-day challenge. Teams compete in a quiz show to demonstrate knowledge of general science and display critical thinking in a design challenge. This year's challenge will include video questions from Chris Hadfield.

NB Math Competition

Students from local school districts arrive at the UNB Saint John campus to compete against other students across the province in an advanced mathematics challenge. Also included in the day are opportunities for students to tour the campus. Learn more

NB High School Programming Competition

NB high school students meet at UNBSJ to test their computer programming skills and problem solving abilities by writing programs. The team who solves the most problems within the time limit wins. Each high school may send more than one team of two contestants each, though occasionally some students may compete alone. Learn more

  • 1st place team: Dell Laptops - donated by J.D. Irving Ltd
  • 2nd place team: Android Tablets - donated by Bell Canada Ltd
  • 3rd place team: Apple iPad Minis - donated by Spielo
  • Other Prizes: Bursaries provided by the Vice President's Office, UNBSJ

Discovery Days in Health Sciences

This is a national event sponsored by the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame and the first one to be held in New Brunswick. It is designed to be an interactive event for grades 10 & 11 to promote their interest in a health sciences career. Our educational partners in Health Science in Saint John, NBCC Allied Health, Dalhousie Medicine NB, have also been invited to participate in this exciting event. Learn more

Family Violence: Why should we care?

Researchers from UNB will share a brief overview of their work that examines some of the myths around family violence and the reality behind the statistics on Tuesday, May 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., in Grand Hall, Saint John. 



This will set the stage for an open discussion on the topic between the researchers and the audience. This conversation is intended to challenge the thinking of both the researchers and the participants.

LPN BN Bridge Program

With the establishment of the new LPN Bridge Program, an information session will take place on Saturday, May 25 at 12pm for interested prospective students. It will be held in Irving Hall 107.

The information session will give an overview of the program, admission prerequisites, application procedures as well as a question and answer session for the students.
