Academic Advising

If you're a first-year student, it's a great idea to get you know your academic advisor. As a busy university student, it's always a good idea to seek advice and information from an academic advisor. Their job is to help you with course selection and registration. Because let's face it - whether you are transitioning from high school to university, or trying to declare your major or you're in need of a graduation assessment - there are a lot of important choices to be made.

Advisors can help you with adding, dropping and/or withdrawing from courses as well as offering advice on the proper courses for upcoming terms.  Moreover, advisors can also help you integrate with the university community or work through any obstacles that stand in the way of your academic success by recommending other campus resources.  Contact your advisor - you'll be glad you did.

Student's in SASE can book their own advising appointments.  You will need your student number to open an appointment account.

Before scheduling an appointment, try to become familiar with our website and explore links to other departments and resources that may be useful for your advising appointment. See the Course Timetable, Academic Calendar and the Registrar’s website for more information. .
