If you're in the engineering program at UNB Saint John, you can spend 2-4 terms working on your program requirements before transferring to UNB Fredericton. The total number of terms required to complete an engineering program depends on your course load.
You'll have the opportunity to complete your bachelor's degree requirements in chemical, civil, computer, electrical and mechanical engineering at UNB Fredericton in their last two years. If you're studying geomatics, geological, or software engineering, you'll need three years at UNB Fredericton in addition to your time at UNB Saint John.
Declaring your Engineering discipline
If you haven't already, start thinking about which stream of engineering you'd prefer. The choice of program will determine course registration for the coming terms. Seek out faculty members for advice, attend E-night or speak with the SASE advisor. Once you've made your decision, you can apply to the discipline by submitting a Degree Transfer From to the Office of the Registrar (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Checklists which detail the two year plan for engineering students at UNB Saint John are available for each major.
