Canada Games Stadium
The Canada Games Stadium was completely renovated in 2010. A new artificial turf field was installed along with a running track, a shot put area, two discus throwing areas, a javelin throwing area, four expansive changing rooms complete with showers and washrooms, a spacious storage building and new seating for the grandstand.
The Canada Games Stadium now ranks among the best facilities in Atlantic Canada and plays host to numerous sports including, soccer, football, rugby, field hockey and lacrosse. It is also a premier hosting site for local, regional, national and international track & field. Saint John can be proud of this beautiful facility.
G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre
The G. Forbes Elliot Athletics Centre features a fitness room with aerobic and weight training equipment and a table tennis room. The gymnasium has an indoor track and a variety of courts that allow users to play everything from soccer and basketball to volleyball and tennis or badminton, all at the same time. The facility has been the host facility for many local, regional, national and international events in the past, such as cheerleading, basketball, fencing, and badminton.
There is also a fitness and nature trail located behind the Athletics Centre that extends through the university's wooded park area for walking or running.
