2:30 pm - Rehearsal - All those receiving degrees at the ceremony are required to attend the rehearsal at 2:30 pm, Thursday, May 20. Graduates will assemble at Ganong Hall Lecture Theatre. Led by the Student Marshal, the rehearsal provides graduates with instructions/information not only on their role in what can be a rather complex pattern of events during the actual ceremony, but on topics such as the proper way to wear academic regalia as well as the degree-granting process.
It is essential graduates attend rehearsal. Convocation cards, which each graduate must present as he/she crosses the stage for the reading of his/her name to take place, are also distributed at rehearsal.
