Specialize or generalize - that is the question

What is a major & when do I start one?

A major simply means that students choose most of their electives from one or two specific areas.  BBA students are not required to take a major however, they have the option of taking a major to expand their specific interest.

Conversely, to determine what their strongest interest is students should first take a few courses in the different areas available before deciding to major in a specialized area of studies.

Majors require 6 - 9 elective courses and students must obtain grades of C or better in all courses taken towards a major.

Regularly, all majors start in year two or three of the program, however, some majors require students to take specific courses in their first year.  Students in the BBA program who wish to pursue a major in French must take two French courses in their first year.
