Roderick Hill, PhD

Professor of Economics

Roderick Hill, PhDRod Hill is a Professor of Economics in the Department with the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John. He received his BA in Economics from the University of Toronto, a Diploma from the International Graduate School University of Stockholm, and an MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.

He joined UNB in 1990.  During sabbatical leaves, Rod Hill has been a short-term visitor at the University of Toronto, the University of Victoria, York University, and Southwestern University.

He is interested in public sector economics and has served on the editorial board of the Canadian Tax Journal.  He is currently a Research Associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, and The Encyclopedia of Quality of Life Research

Rod Hill is a member of the Atlantic Canada Economics Association, the Progressive Economics Forum, the Association for Social Economics, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, and the International Association for Research in Income and Wealth.

With Tony Myatt, Rod Hill maintains a blog associated with their recent book, The Economics Anti-Textbook.
