Dr. Mustapha Ibn Boamah
Mustapha Ibn Boamah is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Business at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John.
He completed his BSc at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, then his MSc at University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK, and his PhD from Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham, UK. His research interests include open-economy macroeconomics, monetary economics and international finance.
Having previously taught at Nottingham Trent University and Kaplan International College in England, Mustapha teaches macroeconomics, financial institutions and markets, and international finance at UNB.
Dr. Ibn Boamah has authored and co-authored several peer reviewed publications on inflation and exchange rate dynamics, monetary unions, interest rate parity, and social economy & microfinance. He has also co-authored two introductory economics textbooks for Canadian universities and colleges.
He has served on various university committees and as the Economics Coordinator. Dr. Ibn Boamah is also a member of the Canadian Economic Association, the Progressive Economics Forum, and a Director of Atlantic Canada Economic Association.
