Leanne has been playing basketball for almost 10 years and in that time has competed on many different teams including Team New Brunswick for three years. She had "the wonderful opportunity of playing in the Canada Games when I played for the U17 Provincial women's basketball team".

Leanne likes "being competitive, making new friends and keeping in great shape". That shouldn't be too hard for her as she was MVP of cross country and basketball for four years in high school. She was the JV athlete of the year and varsity athlete of the year in high school. Last season, Leanne was selected as the Seawolves rookie of the year.

"We have the opportunity to play in 2 tournaments before our season begins, so we will be very prepared to kick off our season, " explains Leanne.  This season she is looking forward to being competitive against the teams in the league and pulling off a few upsets.
