Jarred started playing basketball in grade 8 at Quispamsis Middle School and won provincial that same year.  In high school, he played 2 years of junior varsity and secured one provincial title.  He then went on to play two years of varsity where his success continued.  In Jarred's grade 12 season, the team went 16-0 and he received the Jane Night Spirit Award as well as the coveted Rip Seeley Scholarship.  In the midst of high school ball, Jared added to his already rich sporting experience by participating on Basketball New Brunswick age-class teams.

"My favorite part about playing basketball is the team aspect and working together as a unit to win", says Jarred.  He values the friendships that are developed with teammates, opposing players and coaches.  Jarred also enjoys the challenge of competing against players of a high skill level, as it motivates him to become a better player.

The Seawolves men's basketball team has seen a large turn-over in players and coaching staff so Jarred is looking forward to getting to know his new teammates and is excited to rebuild the program with the new head coach.  His personal goal for the season is to grow the program and to eventually bring home the Atlantic title; "I'm excited for the season to start so we can show the ACAA what we're made of".
