About our varsity teams
The Seawolves are members of the Atlantic Collegiate Athletics Association (ACAA) and the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA). Student athletes are able to compete in six varsity sports; men's and women's soccer, volleyball and basketball.
UNB Saint John also has a partnership with UNB Fredericton to offer cross-country and track & field. These teams will be called the Varsity Reds and compete at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Atlantic University Sport (AUS) level. It’s an exciting time at UNB Saint John if you are a varsity athlete.
The Seawolves have a strong reputation in the ACAA and the CCAA.
At this high level of competition athletes are able to focus on academics, play their sport of choice and forge lifelong friendships with teammates. What a great way to experience university life on the way to getting a degree.
