Crescent Valley
We have partnered with Hazen White St. Francis School to provide opportunities for mentoring experiences. UNB students can gain valuable experience working with children in a variety of settings, while the younger students learn how to read, write, study and participate in physical activity.
The Crescent Valley initiative is now in its second year and is really gaining momentum. More UNB Saint John students are volunteering and giving of their time and talents to enhance the educational experience of these children.
While we do have several student-athletes who volunteer for the overall program, sports programs are our specialty and that’s what we stick to. Volleyball, basketball, badminton and yoga were the activities this year. Some took place at Hazen White St. Francis School and some had the children coming to our gym.
