  • Thursday, February 21, 2013 - CIHR President Coming to New Brunswick: PREPARE TO BE HEARD; HAVE YOUR SAY!

    The New Brunswick Health Research foundation is welcoming CIHR President Dr. Alain Beaudet and his staff on Thursday, Feb. 21 for a meeting with NB Stakeholders. Topics include the new Open suite of programs and peer review process; the end of the Regional Partnership Program; plans for new programming, particularly the Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR); and the need for capacity building in New Brunswick. The meeting will take place in Room 53, MacLaggan Hall, UNB Fredericton from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. All health researchers are welcome. Please click here for more information.

    le jeudi 21 février 2013 - Le président des IRSC en visite au Nouveau-Brunswick: PRÉPAREZ-VOUS À VOUS FAIRE ENTENDRE; LA PAROLE EST À VOUS!

    La Fondation de la recherche en santé du Nouveau-Brunswick accueillera le président des IRSC, Dr Alain Beaudet, et des membres de son personnel le jeudi 21 février pour une réunion avec les parties prenantes du Nouveau-Brunswick. Il sera entre autres question de la série de programmes ouverts et du processus d’évaluation par les pairs, de la disparition du Programme de partenariats régionaux, de nouveaux projets de programmes, et en particulier de la Stratégie de recherche axée sur le patient (SRAP), et de la nécessité de renforcer la capacité au Nouveau-Brunswick. La réunion se tiendra salle 53, MacLaggan Hall, UNB Fredericton, de

  • Week of January 28, 2013 - Webinar: NSERC CREATE Program

    In preparation for the next CREATE competition (description below), NSERC will hold two information sessions, one in English and one in French, during the week of January 28th. They will use a webinar format for the presentation, and participants will be able to communicate (verbally) by teleconference. Potential applicants, as well as current CREATE grantees, are encouraged to attend.

  • December 13, 2012 - SSHRC’S New Grant Management System and Common CV - Information Session for UNB & STU Research Communities

    The Offices of Research Services of UNB and STU are organising a joint information session for faculty of both universities on the newly launched SSHRC Grants Management System (GMS) and the Common CV (CCV).

    Date: Thursday, December 13th, 2012
    Time: 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm (Light Refreshments Available)
    Venue: Brain Mulroney Hall, Room 103, St. Thomas University

  • December 6, 2012 - SSHRC Webinar: Insight Development Grants – New Application Portal and Canadian Common CV

    SSHRC will be holding a webinar on the upcoming Insight Development Grants 2013 competition and the changes to the application portal, including the adoption of the Canadian Common CV.

    The webinars will be held on Thursday, December 6th at the following times:

  • December 6, 2012 - Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) Workshop Invitation

    Members of the Project Search Team from the Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) will be in Halifax on Thursday, December 6th to give a seminar on Advancing Academic Discoveries Toward Commercialization.

    There will be an open seminar from 9-10 AM and then the opportunity to have individual meetings throughout the rest of the day.

  • October 1 & 2, 2012 - NSERC Discovery Grants Information Sessions

    Interested researchers are invited to attend a Discovery Grant information session being presented by the Office of Research Services and UNB members of various Grants Selection Committees (GSCs).  NSERC no longer travels to put on information sessions; however, they have provided updated PowerPoint slides on the Discovery and Research Tools and Instruments Grants programs.

  • September 17, 18 or 19, 2012 - ERA-Can Information Sessions - Atlantic Canada
  • ERA-Can will hold Information Sessions in three Atlantic Provinces for researchers interested in joining European FP7 projects. Sessions will take place at Dalhousie University, University of Prince Edward Island, or Memorial University of Newfoundland.
