The University of New Brunswick, in partnership with Université de Moncton , ACOA, Forest Protection Limited, Business New Brunswick, the Wood Science and Technology Centre, the New Brunswick Community College, the Wood Products Group, the New Brunswick Forest Products Association, NRCan-Canadian Forest Service, and Forintek is holding a commercialization session entitled “Research, Development, and Commercialization in the New Brunswick Forest Sector” in Edmundston, NB, on October 12-13, 2005.

UNB/Office of Research Services has assisted with the organization of previous technology commercialization sessions in Fredericton (2000), Saint John (2001), Moncton (2003) and Sackville (2004); this is the first session to target the Forest sector specifically. This event is an opportunity to hear about and learn from New Brunswick companies that have been successful at research and innovation and to also get to know about the research and commercialization efforts underway at the many forest-related research centres in New Brunswick. As well, it will provide an opportunity to meet officials from various federal and provincial government departments, who may have programs to help out with specific research projects.
