Welcome

**Introducing new SINLAB Staff Members: Dr. Andrea Prentice and Brent Nawrocki**

The Stable Isotopes In Nature Laboratory (SINLAB) is part of the Canadian Rivers Institute located in the Biology Department at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.

The SINLAB is one of the few stable isotope labs in Canada with an ecological focus. In addition to our support of a dynamic research team at the University of New Brunswick, we serve an international clientele of researchers working in terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecosystems.

The SINLAB uses Continuous Flow Isotope Mass Spectrometry (CFIRMS) technology and is able to analyze a variety of sample and tissue types for ratios of carbon (13C/12C), nitrogen (15N/14N), and hydrogen (2H,1H).

We are very interested in developing innovative uses of stable isotope analysis, and welcome new ideas and projects to the lab.
