Designated Well Field Protection Areas
Wellfield Protection Program information is administered through the Department of the Environment and Local Government (DELG). The areas identified in this file are known as Wellfield Protected Areas. Currently, only some of the wellfields have been designated under the Wellfield Protected Area Designation Order - Clean Water Act. Users should be aware that the wellfields on this map layer that are not designated are subject to change prior to designation. The Department of the Environment and Local Government accepts no responsibility or liability for decisions that are made by the users based on this information prior to or after final designation of the wellfield. A list of designated wellfields can be found here, and information on the current status of wellfield designations can be obtained by contacting the DELG at 506 457 - 4846.
