Protecting rivers

Our mission is to carry out multi-disciplinary research and provide training and outreach focusing on rivers and the challenges of water resources conservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable use.

We define rivers as all waters from headwaters to estuaries and the contiguous coastal zones.

Finding solutions to the world's most pressing water issues

Our objective is to pursue the immediacy of water issues by merging curiosity and applied, needs-based sciences in an international centre of excellence through networks that include universities, government agencies, NGOs and industry.

A commitment to education

The CRI is committed to training professionals in university and specialized skills programmes.

Our outreach programmes are accessible to professionals and anyone engaged in the challenges of aquatic resources management and planning. You can study at the University of New Brunswick, online, or we bring the course to you anywhere in the world.
