Who We Are
Formed in 1992, CNER was originally established as a not-for-profit research and development company operating with a partnership between UNB and the Research and Productivity Council (RPC). Since then, we have expanded by working closely with NB Power and Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (formerly Atomic Energy of Canada Limited).
We also have synergistic working relationships with UNB along with several international universities, employing many engineering graduate students — many of whom hail from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
This allows CNER to be a diversely multidisciplinary research institute, supplying a greater variety of solutions and experiences to the needs of our clients.
Due to the nature of our work, we are an integral member of the Canadian Nuclear community. We also have a longstanding working relationship with Point Lepreau Generating Station, which provides us with the expertise required to deliver effective, safe solutions to our customers.
Our Corporate Values help guide us in our daily activities. They consist of:
- Making safety and quality a core concept of our work
- Collaborating with our customers for our collective success
- Providing our clients with a great service experience, resulting in loyal customers
- Providing an engaging working environment for our employees that promotes teamwork, mutual respect, professionalism and skill development.
