The Centre for Nuclear Energy Research (CNER) is a research and development institute within the University of New Brunswick (UNB) located in Fredericton, NB, Canada.
We effectively deliver state of the art interdisciplinary applied research projects and services to research organizations and industry leaders around the globe.
Due to the proximity between UNB and CNER, we have access to a variety of mechanical and chemistry labs in-house and across the university campus.
In addition to our labs, CNER has four fully automated high-temperature and high-pressure test loops, constructed to industry standards, which simulate the primary heat transport system of a CANDU® reactor, the secondary heat transport system of nuclear power stations as well as steam-raising circuits in thermal power generation plants.
