Dr. Elizabeth Blaney Title: Research Associate Institution: Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research, University of New Brunswick Mailing address: Website: http://www.unbf.ca/arts/CFVR/ResearchAssociate.php Elizabeth Blaney is presently a research associate at the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research and the coordinator of the Canadian observatory on the justice system's response to intimate partner violence. She is involved in various projects of the MMFC including training police officers, developing evaluation tools for responding to rural women and girls, and projects of the Alliance of Canadian Research Centres on Violence. She teaches in the areas of family violence issues and women's studies. Her research interests are violence against women, social policy, justice responses to intimate partner violence, and the intersection of child welfare legislation and woman abuse.
