Seventy-three dean's list students were also recognized.

Professor Rod Cooper received the 2006 faculty of computer science Excellence in Teaching Award. He is also cross-appointed to the department of chemistry in the faculty of science.

UNB computer science alumnus Trevor Cory of CGI, an end-to-end IT and business company with 100 offices in 16 countries, offered a closing address that reminded the students of the breadth of possibilities awaiting them following graduation and encouraged them to strive towards higher and higher achievements.
