October 12, 2006
UNB Fredericton News Release: D744
Sandra Howland, Manager, Ceremonies, Events and Community Outreach (506) 458-7968

Canada’s Ambassador to France, Claude Laverdure, will give a free public lecture at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Mr. Laverdure will speak on Canada-France relations at 7 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge in the Alumni Memorial Building. A reception will follow. All are welcome to attend.

The ambassador will review Canada’s current political, economic, social and cultural links with France, outline the impact of these relations on Canadians, and discuss opportunities to expand our partnerships — including the role that students, young graduates and young professionals can play today and in the years to come.
