| DOWNLOADING AN EVENT TO YOUR CALENDAR
You can now download any event item listed in the UNB News@UNB
website into your personal computer calendar. Palm DeskTop
users will see the event in their PDA after synchronizing.
Files are in a standard .vcs format used by most calendar
programs such as Palm DeskTop, Outlook Express, Lotus, iCal,
etc. A reminder is set to automatically pop up 15 minutes
before the event.
Instructions
Macintosh:
- Go to event that you want to download, click on the event download icon or "Download event to your calendar" link at the bottom of the page. That will take you to the download event page.
- Click on the "Download Event Now!" link on the page.
- Choose Save File As... in the dialog box and then select
a convenient location to save the file (e.g. to your DeskTop).
- Double-clicking on the .vcs file will enter it into your
default calendar application*. If you wish to enter it into
another calendar, simply drag the file to that icon.
- After you've entered the event by double-clicking on
the icon you can delete the .vcs file by moving it into
the Trash.
*Note: To change your default calendar, do a Get Info on
