Instructor - Dr. Ghislain Deslongchamps is Professor
in the Department of Chemistry
here at the University of New Brunswick. He is very
active in the area of visualization in science and education.
Labeling himself "a closet developer", he
has been authoring
Flash-based interactive chemistry courseware for over
five years.
Overview - This is a follow-up to the introductory
Flash workshop (Session A4) covering more advanced topics
in a hands-on fashion. Topics will include audio, video,
importing and exporting Flash media, as well as an introduction
to ActionScript. ActionScript is the native programming
language in Flash and the key to creating highly interactive
and engaging courseware.
