Tips for a successful application

Here's a check list to help you put together a good scholarship application:

Be pro-active. Study hard - it is worth it
Get involved with your school and community before the time comes to apply
Include extracurricular activities - sports, clubs, volunteering, jobs
Include any leadership experience
Complete the application form with the information you want the assessor to see.
Do not use "see attached resume" since the assessor may not read any further.
If you are in financial need, include information that demonstrates this. If the information is not there, it is assumed that you are not in financial need.

Submit your applications well in advance of the deadline (March 1 at UNB)
