Tips for a successful application
Here's a check list to help you put together a good scholarship application:
- Be pro-active. Study hard - it is worth it
- Get involved with your school and community before the time comes to apply
- Include extracurricular activities - sports, clubs, volunteering, jobs
- Include any leadership experience
- Complete the application form with the information you want the assessor to see.
- Do not use "see attached resume" since the assessor may not read any further.
- If you are in financial need, include information that demonstrates this. If the information is not there, it is assumed that you are not in financial need.
- Feel free to email a short resume to awards@unb.ca. Be sure to check with your references
- Submit your applications well in advance of the deadline (March 1 at UNB)
