Setup Your Email/Calendar
Instructions (with screenshots):
Please follow these instructions very carefully.
1.
Click on 'Setup' in your Blackberry Menu.
2. Select 'Email Account'.
3. Select 'Internet Mail Account'.
4. Select 'Add an email account' (note: if you already have another account setup, go to 'Set up another email account').
5. Select 'Other'.
6. Enter your UNB email address into the Email Address field (eg:jdoe@unb.ca).
Enter 'x' in the password field.
Click 'Continue'. (note: you will receive an error message, do not be alarmed.)
7. Scroll down and select 'I will provide the settings'.
8. Enter the following UNB email account settings:
Select an email type: Ensure 'POP/IMAP (most
common)' is selected
Email Address: Your UNB email
address (eg: jdoe@unb.ca)
Password: Your UNB password
Email Server: pod51009.outlook.com
User
Name: Your UNB email address (eg: jdoe@unb.ca)
Click 'Continue'.
9. Expand 'General Options' and verify your UNB account information.
Email Address: Your UNB email address (eg:
jdoe@unb.ca)
Email account name: A description of the email
account (eg: UNB email)
Your Name: Your Name.
10. Scroll down and expand 'Login Information' and re-renter your UNB password in the password field.
11. Scroll down and click on 'Advanced Options' and verify the following information:
Email Server: pod51009.outlook.com
Email server
type: IMAP Port: 993. Ensure the 'Use SSL' checkbox is
checked
12. Click 'Save'.
