Setup Wireless

For assistance setting up myUNB WiFi as the primary wireless network, contact the IT Service Desk.


  1. In the bottom right hand corner of your desktop, click the Wireless icon.

  2. Select 'myUNB WiFi' from the list of available networks. Check the 'Connect Automatically' box then click 'Connect'.

  3. You will receive a warning message saying 'Windows can’t verify the server’s identity'. Click 'Connect'. You may see this message several times – please select 'Connect' every time.

  4. When prompted, enter your UNB Login ID and Password and click 'OK'. NOTE: If you are connecting from a UNB owned computer, you may not be prompted for your Login ID and Password.

    When prompted, enter your UNB Login ID and Password and click 'OK'.
  5. You should now be connected to myUNB WiFi.

Having trouble connecting to myUNB WiFi?

You may need to temporarily disable your computer's anti-virus program the first time you connect to myUNB WiFi. To do this, right-click the anti-virus icon in the system tray on your desktop (by the clock) and select ‘disable'. Once you have successfully connected to myUNB WiFi, wait 15 minutes before turning your anti-virus back on.
