Wireless

Fredericton

UNB's wireless network issues have been resolved. If clients are having trouble connecting to myUNB Wi-Fi or eduroam, please contact the IT Service Desk at (506) 457-2222 (Fredericton), (506) 657-2222 (Saint John) or via email at itservicedesk@unb.ca, we'd be happy to help.

Due to unexpected issues resulting from UNB’s wireless upgrades, some students, faculty and staff are currently unable to connect to UNB Wi-Fi services (myUNB WiFi and/or eduroam) on the Fredericton campus.

Troubleshooting steps for connecting to Wi-Fi

Until we’ve resolved these issues, we recommend you:

  • First, try to connect to eduroam, UNB’s new Wi-Fi – remember to add ‘@unb.ca’ to your login ID (full Instructions)
  • If you’re unable to connect to eduroam, try to connect to myUNB WiFi or guest@UNB (do not include ‘@unb.ca’ after your login ID)
  • If you move to a new building on campus and notice you’re no longer connected to Wi-Fi, repeat the steps above.

In some cases, you may not be able to connect to any UNB Wi-Fi services. Alternate options include:

  • Using a UNB lab or public computer
  • Faculty & staff only: connecting to UNB’s wired network via a network drop

Our team is working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible and will provide updates as soon as they become available.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time.Â
