Website Training and Access

We offer a wide-range of training sessions for users of websites housed within UNB's supported web platform (Cascade Server otherwise known as the 'CMS').  As of February 2012, we no longer offer support for Dreamweaver or Contribute driven websites.  If you have yet to migrate your website to the CMS, and would like to do so, please fill out the form located here.

We offer the following sessions:

  • Introduction to the CMS (for new users)
  • Introduction to Blogging
  • One-on-one question/answer sessions (max. 30 minutes)
  • Group hands-on question/answers sessions (available at the beginning of each term)
  • Virtual training sessions (available to our Bathurst/Moncton campuses)

Access to a website is dependant upon completion of the 'Introduction to the CMS' program.  For new users training will be arranged via their access request, current users can request further training by contacting the IT Service Desk.

Request Website Access

To request access to a website please login to 'Access Manager' via your myUNB Portal.  You will see Content Management System (CMS) in your request list, please outline the website you require access to within the reason for addition box.

To request access on behalf of a student please contact the IT Service Desk and include the URL of the website to which they require access.

Termination of Website Access

The website liaison is required to submit a request to revoke website access as individuals leave the department, or group.  Access is not automatically revoked when an individual switches to another department, or has access to multiple UNB websites.  To remove access please login to 'Access Manager' via your myUNB portal and select 'Remove this access' under 'Cascade Manager System'.  In the 'Reason for Modification' box please include the URL of the website.
