Setup Wireless

Setup myUNB WiFi as your primary wireless network.

Instructions:

  1. Tap the ‘Settings’ application (located directly on the home screen by default) then select ‘Wi-Fi’.
  2. Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned ON then select ‘myUNB WiFi’.

    Ensure Wi-Fi is turned ON then select 'myUNB WiFi'.
  3. Enter your UNB Login ID in the Username field and your UNB Password in the Password field. Tap 'Join'.

    Enter your UNB Login ID and UNB Password and tap 'Join'.
  4. If your credentials have been entered correctly, a certificate will be displayed. Tap 'Accept'.

    If your credentials have been entered correctly, a certificate will be displayed. Tap 'Accept'.
  5. You should now be connected to myUNB WiFi.

Setup myUNB WiFi as your primary wireless network

Note: These instructions are not specific to myUNB WiFi can be used to setup any network (ex: home, etc.) as your primary wireless network. Simply follow the instructions replacing 'myUNB WiFi' with the name of the network you want as your default.

IOS devices attempt to connect to available networks in alphabetical order. To ensure myUNB WiFi is the strongest network in range while on-campus, remove eduroam, guestUNB WiFi and Setup-myUNB WiFi from the list of available networks:

  1. Go to Settings >WiFi.
  2. For each network you wish to forget, tap the blue ‘>’ symbol to the right of the network name, then tap Forget this Network.

NOTE: This must be done from on-campus as networks must be in range for you to remove them from the list.
