Using UNB's VPN Client

Once you have installed UNB's VPN client, you can access secure IT services just as if you were on campus.

Installing the VPN Client

For information on downloading and installing the Junos Pulse VPN client please select your operating system below:

Running the VPN Client - Windows

To run the VPN client once it has been installed:

  1. Right click the Junos Pulse icon in the task bar, then click Open Pulse.

  2. Click Connect next to the UNB VPN connection.

  3. Enter your UNB Login ID and Password and click Connect. You will then have a secure connection to the UNB network.

Running the VPN Client - Mac

To run the VPN once it has been installed:

  1. Click the Junos Pulse icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen, then click Open Junos Pulse.

  2. Click Connect next to the UNB VPN connection.

  3. Enter your UNB Login ID and Password and click Connect. You will then have a secure connection to the UNB network.

Accessing your Files Saved on Network Drives - Mac & Windows

1. Connect to the VPN Client.

2. *Windows only* --> Double-click the ‘Connect to UNB Network Drives’ icon on your desktop.

3. Access your files the same as you do when you are on campus.

Accessing secure IT services from off-campus - Mac & Windows

1. Connect to the VPN Client.

2. Access your secure IT services through your myUNB Portal (Colleague, Footprints, CMS, etc).
