Purchase print credits with UCard Online
Towards the end of August, purchasing print credits is moving from eServices to your UCard account. When you need to buy print credits, go to your myUNB Portal and click UCard Online. You will be taken to your UCard account where you can deposit money on your card that can be used for printing as well as at other locations that accept UCard.
What is a UCard?
UCard is the new name for UNB’s Photo ID card. If you have a UNB Photo ID, you already have a UCard.
What is UCard Online?
UCard Online is accessed through your myUNB Portal and is used to add money to your UCard, check your Meal Plan and UCard Cash balances, and deactivate your UCard if lost or reactivate it if found.
How can I add money to my UCard?
There are two easy ways to add money to your UCard:
- Online:
- UCard Online – Accessed from the Quick Launch menu in your myUNB Portal, UCard Online accepts Visa or MasterCard to add money to your UCard. Don’t have a credit card of your own? UCard online will also accept pre-filled Visa or MasterCard. Parents, friends and relatives can also put money on your UCard using the UCard Online Gift Deposit option found on the UCard website.
- In Person:
- UNBF - UNB Card Office - Visit the UNB Card office located upstairs in the SUB (room 106) to deposit money on your UCard using cash, credit or debit.
- UNBSJ - UCard PHIL Station (coming soon) – At the end of the month, you will be able to visit our new UCard PHIL Station on-campus in Saint John to deposit cash onto your UCard. Stay tuned for more details to come.
How do I print once I add money?
Once you’ve deposited money onto your UCard, just print like normal and your print job will automatically deduct from your UCard Cash balance. If you had print credits prior to the switch to UCard, your printing will be deducted from your previous balance first.
What about the print credits I had left over from before?
Don’t worry, any print credits you purchased before the switch to UCard will be used first before deducting from your UCard Cash account.
How will I check my print credit balance after the switch to UCard?
To check the balance on your UCard, just go to UCard Online (accessed through your myUNB Portal) and check the balance in your UCard Cash account. If you see your funds are running low, simply click ‘+Add Money’ to add more.
If you had print credits prior to the switch, this amount will show in a separate account named ‘Print Refunds/GL Charges’. Balances within this account will be used before deducting from your UCard Cash account.
Where can I learn more about my UCard?
