Applying to UNB

Note: Permanent residents of Canada and Canadian citizens living abroad should apply as domestic students.

When do classes start?

International students may begin their undergraduate programs in September, January, or May.

For the best orientation experience, we strongly recommend that international students commence their studies with us in September, but we happily welcome the arrival of international students to any of our intakes.

When should I apply?

Undergraduate admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. However, you must apply early to ensure your application receives timely consideration, and to ensure you have sufficient time to obtain a study permit / study visa.

Please review the application deadlines and the checklists to ensure timely processing.

How do I apply?

Apply online. Note that it costs $60 CDN (non-refundable) to apply. Unfortunately, your application cannot be processed until this application fee is received.

Can I defer my start date?

Students who do not receive a study visa in time for a particular intake can defer their admission until the following intake. Please contact Susan to make these arrangements.
