Funding

The WATER stipends/scholarships will be dedicated to projects that cross disciplines, and this approach combined with the applied training will create HQPs with experience in collaboration, applied science, and translating science into usable forms for partners. Research to date has focused on real-time environmental management, and prospective assessment relies on long-term scenarios that interactively develop future management perspectives. Applied research is required to bridge this gap between the two approaches, and that is the main focus of the WATER research program, and the primary attractiveness of WATER graduates.

There are 5 types of funding available for WATER stipends/scholarships:

NOTE: There are stipends available for science and non-science Masters and PhD-level students (non-science and engineering faculties).  The numbers of non-NSE (Natural Sciences and Engineering) stipends available each year will depend on demand and quality of applicants.
