New kinesiology building

The construction of the new kinesiology building on our Fredericton campus is a significant milestone in UNB’s history and provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our 230-year legacy and look forward to an exciting future as we continue to develop as one of North America’s proudest institutions.

The new kinesiology building will create a nationally significant research cluster focused on health, wellness, physical fitness and health promotion that will establish New Brunswick as a leader in preventative health care.

Time capsule

To celebrate this milestone and to commemorate the Lady Beaverbrook Gym, we’re placing a time capsule in the new kinesiology building. Thank you to all UNB faculty, staff, students and alumni who submitted items. Approximately 50 items were placed in the 12” X 9” X 12” capsule that will be marked with a brass plaque and be reopened in 50 years, 2067 (Canada’s 200th birthday).
