President's Medals and Distinguished Service Awards

Nomination Deadline: December 1, 2017

President's Medals and Distinguished Service Awards honour current employees of the University of New Brunswick, or those who have retired within one calendar year preceding the call for nominations. President's Medals and Distinguished Service Awards are awarded for outstanding service to the university which may include teaching, research, administrative contributions, or any combination thereof. President's Medals are intended to recognize service over the span of a career. The awards will be presented at ceremonies, one on each campus, early in 2018.

Nominations may be made by UNB faculty and staff members and are to be forwarded to the respective academic dean or director before Dec. 1, 2017. Nominators shall not indicate a specific award but instead shall focus on highlighting the candidate's contributions to the institution. The Selection Committees, one on each campus, shall make a recommendation to the president as to which award the nominee merits.

Nominations are to include a covering letter from the nominator(s), a current curriculum vitae or resume, and a one-page citation to be used for publicity purposes describing the nominee's contribution in a manner understandable to those outside the university community.
