Function

Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President (Resource Planning and Budgeting), the incumbent will assist in the provision of institutional research and statistical analysis for the Fredericton Campus, university-wide units and the Saint John Campus.
Representative Responsibilities
   Develop, compile and analyse institutional statistics such as enrolment, course registration, faculty/staff, space, student flow, admission cycle including the documentation of methodologies and sources.
   Develop analytical methodologies and management procedures to ensure consistent and regular compilation and reporting of institutional statistics (including statistics produced externally through surveys or external reports) are available to support financial analysis and decision making.
   Facilitate internal and external access to institutional statistics through publication of reports including the web.
   Meet with contacts to review new reporting requirements or existing methodology in existing report creation.
   Provide evidence-based analysis providing answers to ad-hoc queries from stakeholders on both campuses.
   Other duties in support of the Team’s financial mandates as required.
Requirements
   University degree in a related discipline, e.g. Administrative or Commerce.
   5 years related experience in a post-secondary educational environment.
   Equivalent mix of education and experience will be considered.
   Excellent knowledge of research and analytical methods, both qualitative and quantitative.
   Demonstrated competence with programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
   Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills including ability to manage tight time limits.
   Ability to work independently as well as part of a group.
   Attention to detail.
   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
   Knowledge of university financial and statistical environment would be an asset.
