FUNCTION:
UNB’s College of Extended Learning provides life-long educational opportunities to people of all ages, at all stages of life, within New Brunswick and beyond. The Bilingual Program Delivery Officer provides the day-to-day coordination of the New Brunswick Critical Care Nursing program, and other assigned programs, through effectively working with partners, providing student and instructor support, as well as compiling and reporting program information. The position also contributes to program improvement processes, makes recommendations to key stakeholders, and supports relevant College initiatives as part of the team.
Representative Responsibilities
   Act as liaison and principal lead with key program partners, instructors and students.
   Coordinate and participate in relevant program committees as an ex officio member.
   Coordinate operational activities and sources for assigned tasks in consult with key stakeholders.
   Advise on budget and monitor expenditures. Investigate and implement efficient processes to reach unit goals.
   Analyse program information and processes, provide written reports with recommendations to implement solutions.
   Set up and participate in program orientation sessions as required. Provide student and instructor support.
   Manage and coordinate online learner environment to ensure student and instructor success.
   Operate within UNB’s online learning management systems and other software application and distance technologies.
   Compile, maintain and report on student records in accordance with UNB protocols and policies.
   Conduct program evaluations and make recommendations for operational improvements and quality assurance.
   Liaise with stakeholders and developers on curriculum to meet changing needs.
   Initiate and maintain effective communication of program updates and changes with all key program stakeholders.
   Analyse trends and provide leads on future opportunities to the Director.
   Represent the College to internal and external communities; participate in other initiatives within the Unit as assigned.
Requirements
   University degree in Adult Education, Education, Business Administration or other related discipline.
   Five years’ related experience, in a leadership role. Significant adult education or continuing education experience.
   Spoken and written competency in both official languages is required.
   Experience with up-to-date distance delivery systems, methods and applications.
   Proven ability with computers and software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) is essential; experience with Microsoft Office, Filemaker and D2L is a must.
   Comfortable working in both collaborative and autonomous situations, within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
   Excellent organizational and communication skills and demonstrated success in exemplary client services.
   Proven ability to exercise judgement, show initiative and demonstrate planning abilities to identify and to solve problems.
   Proven ability to work with multiple complex objectives and projects, ensuring appropriate level of planning and control.
   Periodic travel within NB is required.
   Flexible working hours required based on needs of the program.
