Under the supervision of the Director of the Student Union Building, the Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations and staffing of the Student Union Building (SUB) - a multi-use facility.
Representative Responsibilities
·    Interview, hire, train a large number of student staff (part-time staff can range between 15 – 20 students).
·    Directly supervise a large number of student staff.
·    Be familiar with the building, policies, services & the day-to-day schedule of events.
·    Serve as a front-line service provider to all internal and external clients looking to book space & to enter all bookings in Astra schedule.
·    Liaise between clients and our on-campus service providers (Food & Beverage, Facilities Management, Security, AV needs, etc.) to ensure all client needs are delivered.
·    Provide accurate delivery of all room sets.
·    Coordination of all room sets, scheduling and overall troubleshooting for events.
·    Inspect building on a daily basis, identifying & reporting issues that need to be addressed by submitting work orders to Facilities Management.
·    Ensure inventory of equipment (including event décor rental items) is accurate and up-to-date.
·    Monitor cleaning staff to ensure cleaning is done regularly. 
·    Monitor access control and key sign out.
·    Deliver high quality customer service to all building users.
·    Provide administrative support by: Preparing bank deposits, creating invoices, preparing staff change forms, preparing, authorizing and submitting payroll and providing reception services.
·    Perform other duties as required.
·    Minimum of a High School Diploma. Completion of a post-secondary education diploma is an asset.
·    3 - 5 years’ experience, in a similar setting (university or college) that required interaction with a variety of stakeholders.
·    Exposure to inventory, computerized booking, and access control systems.
·    The incumbent may be required to work flexible hours outside of normal working hours.
·    The normal hours for this position are Tuesday – Saturday from 1:00 pm – 10:00pm but can range anytime between 8:30am – 2:30am. These hours will fluctuate weekly depending on building activities.
·    Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
·    Must maintain helpful and positive attitude.
·    Ability to deal with difficult situations with a positive attitude.
·    Possess the ability to interact effectively in a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
