Function

With a tradition of fundraising achievement and a practice of exceeding campaign goals, the University of New Brunswick is engaged in a transformative fund-raising campaign. This full-time, term position reports to the Marketing Communications Manager in Development & Donor Relations and will play a significant role in the success of the campaign and Development & Donor Relations activities.
Representative Responsibilities
·   Support the implementation of a campaign communications plan for internal and external audiences.
·   Graphic design of campaign print materials, which include, but are not limited to case statements for university-wide and faculty/department priorities, recognition pieces, campaign fact sheet, newsletters, customized donor proposals, social media tactics, letterhead pledge cards/forms, envelopes and related. Graphic layouts will primarily be implemented using established templates in Adobe InDesign.
·   Develop and maintain a production schedule of all print and electronic communications and provides regular updates to the department and other collaborating units.
·   Develop and maintain a central image bank for the campaign and Development & Donor Relations.
·   Develop relationships and collaborate on campaign marketing-communications with colleagues across the university.
·   Update the Development & Donor Relations web pages using UNB’s content management system (CMS) on a regular basis.
·   Coordinate a campaign website, campaign e-newsletter, and other e-communications, including campaign results, donor testimonials and impacts of campaign gifts, as well as social media content in collaboration with the University Communications & Marketing and Alumni Offices.
·   Coordinate photo and video shoots, including contracting photographers/videographers; arrange models, schedule of locations, collection of props and reviewing edits.
·   Coordinate production of collateral and content development with vendors including designers, printers, copy writers, photographers and video production companies.
·   Assist in implementation of UNB’s visual identity standards and style guides, and ensure consistency in all campaign and Development & Donor Relations specific marketing communications.
·   Assist in coordination of campaign events as needed.
Requirements
·   A post-secondary degree or college diploma or equivalent, relevant experience.
·   Ability to work independently as well as an ability to take direction.
·   Team player with the ability to work comfortably in a demanding environment.
·   The ability and flexibility to meet constantly changing deadlines.
·   Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
·   Excellent time management skills.
·   Experience in marketing-related work.
·   Understanding of marketing and communication principles.
·   Understanding of the application of web and graphic design and use of social media.
·   Knowledge of fundraising and UNB are a definite asset.
·   A Valid driver’s license. Ability to travel regularly between campuses.
·   From time to time, attend events and meeting in the evening and weekends.
