The Faculty of Kinesiology and the Cardiometabolic Exercise and Lifestyle Laboratory (CELLab) are leaders in health research at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). They also provide students with tremendous opportunities of experience in hands-on learning. The CELLab performs research from epidemiology studies, to acute and chronic exercise trials. The CELLab works closely with other researchers and faculties. The current position aims at maintaining these high standards as well as conducting high-quality research in field of exercise science.
Representative Responsibilities
·    Recruit and schedule participants for research studies, data collection, processing and analysis (using software such as SPSS, EXCEL), and maintain accurate records.
·    Purchase and/or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project, and general management of lab operations.
·    Manage and respond to project related emails
·    Prepare, maintain, and update progress reports as necessary. Attend project meetings.
·    Assist with manuscript writing.
·    Conduct literature reviews.
·    Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations.
·    Provide training on equipment and software as necessary.
·    Other duties as assigned
·    B.Sc. or relevant combination of education and experience.
·    Research background, including a MSc. would be considered assets.
·    Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
·    Ability to work on some evening and weekends.
·    Must be able to work independently and show initiatives to ensure an effective research process.
·    Ability to organize and manage time and multiple tasks, ability to work independently.,
·    Experience and proficiency with administering tasks, and the ability to maintain effective communications and working relationships with other study team members, supervisors, and participants. 
·    Preference will be given to applications from individuals with CSEP-CEP certification, strong research experience, as well as experience in exercise science.
