Function

The Account Manager is accountable for the overall functions of the sales cycle and in managing relationships with learners, channel partners, key account decision makers, and various internal and external stakeholders. The position will effectively execute strategies to increase enrollment and retention in programs and courses under the umbrella of CEL. The Account Manager contributes to the overall operation of the Business Development & Sales unit through planning and conferring with unit leads to assist in the development of marketing strategies.
Representative Responsibilities
·    Manage and grow key accounts to achieve sales targets through the implementation of appropriate and unique strategies.
·    Increase retention rates and expand revenue through cross-sell/up-sell; direct sales contact with current and potential clients.
·    Participate in strategic account planning process; maintain an updated sales funnel; implement a system that measures the effectiveness of sales tactics.
·    Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives; maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
·    Lead point of contact for all matters specific to accounts; build and maintain strong long-lasting advisor/learner and advisor/key account relationships.
·    Assess, clarify and validate learner and key account needs and recommend appropriate product solutions.
·    Identify key accounts that would benefit from off-the-shelf and customized contract training through solution selling.
·    Collaborate closely with customer support units to meet account performance objectives as well as customer expectations through complimentary cross-functional efforts.
·    Play a critical role in ensuring timely interaction and communication with development and delivery teams; Provide guidance to business development and sales teams in the development of strategic marketing plans and budgets.
·    Remain current with the competitive landscape; evaluates threats and work with analytic, marketing and operation teams to develop appropriate strategies; Assist in the identification and evaluation of business opportunities through best practices and trends.
·    Maintain data and information relevant to key accounts; update sales and client satisfaction data in the CRM; prepare reports on account status and forecasts, and key account metrics.
Requirements
·    Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with coursework in sales and marketing.
·    5 – 8 years experience in solution selling; 2 years proven team, people and project management experience; demonstrated experience and success at working as a member of a team; previous experience in a post-secondary institution, or working with clients from a post-secondary institution.
·    Strong sales skills and experience, and demonstrated ability to drive sales to achieve targets.
·    Proven ability to work under pressure to meet aggressive sales targets and high expectations; ability to work with difficult people; ability to take care of key account and learner relationships and develop new ones.
·    Ability to manage multiple projects, objectives and priorities; ability to balance shifting demands and maintain priorities.
·    Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills; excellent writing, organizational and communication skills.
·    Keen awareness of the balance between entrepreneurship and academia: capacity to motivate others.
·    Strong computing skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly; knowledge of MS Office Suite or equivalent; experience in Colleague and with a customer relations management system.
