Function

Reporting to the International Recruitment Director, the Manager of Operations and Business Development is responsible for managing and growing the international education agent portfolio and managing and growing UNB’s current list of pathways partners both in Canada and abroad and tracking/monitoring related monthly performance and commission payments.
Representative Responsibilities
·    Manage and grow all international education agent relationships and pathways partners both in Canada and abroad.
·    Seek new partnership agreements, advise management on new opportunities, draft contract, develop and maintain a partnership database, manage partner payments and maintain excellent relationships with agents.
·    Assist in the research of potential new markets for the purpose of individual student, group cohort based recruitment initiates and help develop recruitment strategies to maximize market reach and impact.
·    Assist in the development of International Recruitment application – enrolment targets, agent/partner agreement targets, and prospective student growth targets.
·    Assess performance when compared to targets, provide detailed reports on target achievements to date, and provide advice to management on opportunities for improvement and necessary strategy changes.
·    Create, implement, and maintain a comprehensive digital communication plan for prospective students and applicants to UNB. Ensure that all communications are within UNB brand and are targeted to help drive conversion rates.
·    Serve as a central point for disseminating inter-departmental communication, and coordinate the flow of information externally and internally.
·    Maintain excellent knowledge of UNB’s program offering, admission requirements student services and facilities.
·    Ensure entire Recruitment Team (both Domestics and International) is aware of any changes.
·    Represent UNB at meetings internally and with government ministries (nationally and internationally), education institutions and Canadian Embassy staff.
·    Maintain awareness of immigration policies and procedures and disseminate information to the IRC Team.
·    Plan all IRC related events, both on and off-campus, serving agents/partners, school counsellors, prospective students and applicants, and all other key influencers.
·    Maintain familiarity with current activities, program offering and costs of competitors.
·    Provide supervisory and management support while the Director, international recruitment, is away from the office.
Requirements
·    Completion of an undergraduate degree, UNB degree preferred.
·    Detailed understanding of the mandate, plans, programs, and activities of the International Recruitment Office and international student markets, along with requirements associated with advancing the stability and growth of student recruitments and enrollment.
·    Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills.
·    Strong ability to write read and comprehend complex documents such as contracts, proposals, and tenders.
·    Knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and practices coupled with strong relationship building and maintenance skills.
·    Effective interpersonal and organizational skills to optimize engagement and influence desired outcomes.
·    Ability to do business in English (verbal and written) is essential. Ability to also do business in on or more of the following languages would be considered an asset – Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Korean, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
·    Strong focus on meeting client needs and customer service.
·    Solid understanding and appreciation of the language learning needs of international students.
