The Department of History and Politics at the University of New Brunswick, Saint John invites applications for an eight-month sabbatical leave term appointment in American History at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment will commence on September 1, 2014 and is subject to budgetary approval.
 
Applicants must have a PhD in American History and demonstrated competence in teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a first year introduction to the study of history as well as a selection of third and fourth year courses in American History. The Department of History and Politics offers a major, double-major, minor, and honours programme in History.
 
Review of applications will commence on April 7, 2014 and continue until the position is filled. Applications must include a cover letter, current curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference.
