Applications are invited for the D.C. Campbell Chair in infrastructure management within the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. This is an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position. The effective date of the appointment can be as early as January 1, 2014.
 
The mission of the Chair is to conduct contract and grant-funded research, disseminate research results, and teach graduate and undergraduate courses related to infrastructure management, with emphasis on public transportation infrastructure. The Chair is expected to provide teaching and supervision capacity to complement one or more of the Department's research groups including materials, structures, and transportation. The Chair is expected to interact with agencies and organizations in the region that are involved in the aspects of infrastructure management.
 
Applicants should have expertise in asset management of public infrastructure with a preference for roadway infrastructure. A completed Doctorate degree is required. Candidates should possess an ability to facilitate and manage complex research programs involving many aspects of civil engineering and a variety of research groups within the Department of Civil Engineering. The successful candidate must demonstrate a record of or potential for excellence in teaching and research and be involved in the engineering profession. The ability to communicate effectively is essential.
