Applications are invited for a Two Year Term Instructor position in the Department of Nursing & Health Sciences. The Instructor position involves classroom, lab and clinical practice teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate nursing programs. We are seeking an Instructor with expertise in a variety of practice areas including acute care, maternal-child, and community health nursing. Candidates for this position must be eligible for registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick and maintain registration when appointed. The anticipated date of employment is January 2, 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
The minimum educational requirements for this position are a completed Bachelor Degree in Nursing, and a Master Degree (completed or in progress) in Nursing or a health-related discipline. Nursing practice experience and demonstrated clinical leadership skills are required. University teaching experience is an asset for this position.
The Department of Nursing & Health Sciences is part of a fully nationally accredited and approved provincial nursing program and offers baccalaureate nursing education through a basic four-year full-time stream, a post-Registered Nurse degree completion stream, and a baccalaureate degree in health sciences. The Department also collaborates with the Faculty of Nursing at UNB Fredericton to offer a graduate nursing program.
