The University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track position in Economics with specialization in Industrial Organization and/or International Economics. Appointment will be at the rank of assistant professor in the Department of Economics. Applications should reach the Departmental Chair no later than November 15, 2013.
The successful candidate will teach and conduct research in Applied Microeconomics in general, preferably in the fields of Industrial Organization and/or International Economics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach core undergraduate and graduate courses, field courses in Industrial Organization and International Trade/Finance, and other related courses offered by the Department of Economics in support of its undergraduate and MA programs.
The position will commence on July 1, 2014 subject to budgetary approval. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Economics with specialization in Industrial Organization and/or International Economics; will have a strong commitment to research and graduate supervision; and will have demonstrated excellence in teaching. The ability to utilize knowledge and expertise in developing solutions to practical economic problems, in particular supporting the development of an evidence-based approach to public policy formation and evaluation, will be an asset.
