Academic Employment Opportunity

The University of New Brunswick, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), Fredericton, invites applications for a tenure track position in the area of Strategic Management. The appointment will be at the assistant professor rank and will be with effect from July 1, 2014, or as soon thereafter as possible. The position is subject to final budgetary approval.

 

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Strategic Management. ABDs at time of hiring will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have recently completed their degree or are near completion. UNB’s strategic plan states “Our aim is to be the best teaching and learning institution in Canada, balancing and integrating excellence in education and research.” and, therefore, we seek applicants with a record of excellence in university teaching and research or demonstrated potential for excellence in both areas. Previous experience teaching in a university environment will be considered an asset as the successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. A capability to teach courses in the area of entrepreneurship would also be considered an asset.

 

The FBA is an innovator in its programs, curriculum design and outreach activities and has more than 900 students in the undergraduate program and 100 students in the graduate program. In addition to the domestic programs, the FBA also offers its programs in partnership with institutions in Trinidad and Tobago, and Ukraine.
