One of North America’s oldest public universities and the oldest English Language university in Canada, the University of New Brunswick (UNB) is comprised of two main campuses in Fredericton and Saint John, has more than 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students and contributes to the cultural fabric of their host communities and the entire province by attracting international students from more than 100 countries.
With approximately 2,700 students, the Saint John campus (established in 1964) is a tight-knit community located in New Brunswick’s largest city. Some of the degree programs at UNB Saint John include Arts, Education, Business Administration, Applied Management, Health Sciences, Nursing, Science, and Computer Science. A select number of graduate programs are also offered at UNB Saint John including a thriving MBA program.
Reporting to the Vice-President of the Saint John campus of UNB, the Dean of the Faculty of Business is responsible and accountable for providing academic leadership and for advocacy on behalf of the Faculty within UNB Saint John and beyond with its external constituency. As a member of the Vice-President’s senior leadership team, the Dean contributes to the overall leadership of the campus, guiding academic and research excellence both within the Faculty of Business and across the institution. The next dean will be a visionary leader with a strong record of academic achievement; progressive administrative success in a university; proven skills in leading the development and implementation of innovative strategic plans; excellent communication and advocacy skills; and a collaborative leadership style. S/he will bring a history of inspiring excellence and innovation in teaching, research and service along with the ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally, to further expand the Faculty’s profile.
