Curriculum Context

In this first year course students will look at the origin of both individual and group rights, pull on threads that appear in other modules and UNB courses, including responsibility to those living in poverty and what the role is of a leader in a democratic community.



Course Description

 

RCLP 1062 Citizenship and Community Issues (Fredericton Campus) 3 ch (M/P S)
Citizenship requires an awareness of civics and community issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. This module will introduce the area with reference to a topical community issue.


Qualifications

Masters Degree or equivalent experience.

In addition to competence Citizenship and community issues, candidates should be committed to student learning within RC’s teaching and learning environment which includes high order, deep learning; creating an environment that challenges and expects challenge; is integrative; is outcomes oriented; and contributes to students’ leadership ability.
